At our family farm, we proudly cultivate high quality Bluepoint oysters of three varieties; our Baby Brielles, Mavericks and The Briggs affectionately named after our children. Our mission is simple...produce great tasting oysters you love.
The farm's specific location, on the northeastern shoal of Sand Island, is very close to the Fire Island Inlet. There is incredible flow here therefore, our oysters receive an abundant influx of rich Atlantic Ocean nutrients every single day. This proves to be quite the environment for the cultivation of our beautiful oysters.
Our oysters are tumbled and simultaneously washed with high pressure jets to produce a clean product with refined edges and a deep cup, ultimately yielding more meat. They showcase a pleasant and exciting brine upfront followed by a mildly sweet tasting meat and lingering salinity.
The Oyster Lover is our family owned mobile raw bar. We provide oysters from our family owned farm as well as other local seafood options upon request. The Oyster Lover is Long Island's premier oyster mobile raw bar. Sourcing the freshest oysters from Long Island’s community of aquafarms, The Oyster Lover is committed to helping you indulge in direct-from-the-sea delicacies beyond the restaurant setting.

Since 1973, the core business at Captree Clam and Seafood has been our hard clams. As we’ve evolved through the years, we have added such products as shell oysters, soft clams (steamers), live lobsters and a complete line of seafood. Our own regional trucks run nightly to serve the tri-state area. We also connect with LTL truckers for access to the New England, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic markets. Our proximity to New York’s airports, which are important cargo hubs, serve our West Coast customers well.
